What's New at Downtown Deco

Howdy from Montana! Sorry it's been so long since the last update but I have not been sitting idle. I'm playing music again and am recording a CD, I've met someone new since my divorce (Misty, a not so mild school teacher!) and I've got new kits in HO & N Scales and possibly something new in O & S Scales. Also, I've finally got my line of 1/35 Scale military diorama kits started. I'll be selling them under the name "Dioramas Plus". If you're into military modelling you should check out the line at www.dioramasplus.com. Thanks to all that stopped by and said "Hi" at the Portland Narrow Gauge Convention. Finally, thanks to all for the support you've given me over the years. Without you, the customers, this wouldn't be worth doing. See you soon!

HO Scale News
First off, the Dead End Alleyway is SOLD OUT. If you didn't get one when it first came out you are probably out of luck unless you can find one on eBay. I will be doing another large "super" kit in the next year and am taking reservations for that now. The next super kit will be "Mortensen Manufacturing" (named after my long time webmaster Geren Mortensen). It will be a three building complex with multiple roof lines and angles, will have a modestly sized footprint & will retail under $200.00. The kit will not ship until the fall of 09 but if think you want one of these let me know now, as it is bound to sell out as well.

Brand new in HO Scale is "Gugisberg & Sons Machining". I think this may be my most ambitious single HO Scale kit to date. Also new in HO (sort of) is "Horowitz Garment". This kit uses the basic castings from the long sold out "Old Brownstones" kit, but has been upgraded with a brand new sign set, laser cut wood water tower and new instruction set.

O Scale News
I do not have a new kit ready to ship in O Scale, but I'd like to do an O scale version of "Gugisberg Machining" if I can get enough pre-orders. In O Scale, the kit would retail for around $150.00. If you'd like me to do this kit in O, you need to let me know, otherwise I won't waste time cutting the patterns. I'm not asking for any money up front & if you change your mind, that's OK. All I'm looking for is about 100 O Scalers to say, "Yeah, if you did that in O Scale I'd probably buy one". O Scale DD48 "Gugisberg Machining" $149.95. Tentative Fall 09 release. Now taking reservations.

S Scale News
I have not done a kit in S Scale for a while, but I'd like to do an S scale version of "Gugisberg Machining" if I can get enough pre-orders. In S Scale, the kit would retail for around $120.00. If you'd like me to do this kit in S, you need to let me know, otherwise I won't waste time cutting the patterns. I'm not asking for any money up front & if you change your mind, that's OK. All I'm looking for is about 100 S Scalers to say, "Yeah, if you did that in S Scale I'd probably buy one". This is a real chance for S Scale modelers to put their money where their mouth is. S Scale DD49 "Gugisberg Machining" $119.95. Tentative Fall 09 release. Now taking reservations.

N Scale News
I have revamped the old N scale "Comet Manufacturing" kit into a beautiful flat perfect for parking a long line of freight cars. This kit has great brick detail, a new set of signs, easy to install printed windows and complete painting/aging instructions. N Scale Shipping Warehouse.
